Terry Montague Sauriol paints beyond the subject. She is especially attentive to the lighting surrounding her subjects and the shadows cast by them “I like to take seemingly everyday objects or settings and make them as interesting as I see them by painting the colors, the lighting, and the shadows rather than merely the subject.”

Her current work is based on reflection in glass which focusses on an abstract view of realism which she calls contemporary realism.
